My Favorite Gaffer

Isn't it ironic that men of light work in the dark?  This photograph of Gaffer Graham Rutherford and his Best Boy Steve Gordon as well as their third Jesse Moyes was taken on the set of George of the Jungle, a kidlets comedy shot in Australia.  These blokes, among the heavy lifters of the film industry, supply the second most important part of the production of a film.  You may argue that the script is first, the actors second and the Direct of Photography third, but I urge you to reconsider. Actors come first and light is second.  Film or digital images figure in early on, but none of the above work if there is no light.
