on line stores

A good friend is in the process of setting up an on-line retail outlet through e-bay.

I believe she intends to sell vitamins and other health related items to women over 50 years of age..that means folks like me and like a few of you.

Now, I contend that women over a certain age...in the midst of menopause and post menapause.. do have some special needs and this may be a perfect opportunity to meet some of those needs and make a buck at the same time.

However, when it comes to healthfulness, it seems to me that women over 50 often have been relegated to the dreary suburbs of eroticia. That is to say, that far too many of us believe that our sex lives have come to closure along with our menses.

Guess what, ladies! Such a generalization is a misconception, a fact that many of you already know.

And so, it seems to me that my friend really ought to include lovely slightly larger sized sexy lingerie in her on-line healthful boutique. She also might want to stock a variety of erotic devices that we women over 50 might find useful.

And, of course, I have alerted her to the fact that China is the fastest growing on-line population in the world. Over a million and a half computer users today. And with a billion folks in that population, just think what a market an on-line health store which stocks products for women over 50 might serve.

I love this cyber world. I love the number of us who manage to keep in contact with one another despite the earthly distances between us by living in a world where ideas travel between us over 7500 planetary miles in less than two seconds. I also love the fact that so many of us are living to celebrate our humanity long after our active 'work' lives have been replaced with volunteerism and active political consciousness and healthful living unencumbered with the stresses of our previous professions.

Frustration comes to an end?

Perhaps..and perhaps not.

Ye, of little faith, please note that I am sending this blog addy on to everyone I know...not just because I want them all to read my blog.

I am egotistic..yeah..I know..you all know that already..but at the same time, I am hoping that one day in the not too distant future to be a real life published author.

And so, it never hurts to have one's words out there in the cybersphere where others can read and review and critique, a dangerous possibility, I realize.

We'll see just how thick my skin is after all...yeah..I know..you who know me know it is very very thin...mottled with all those little red veins that lie beneath the skin of all folks over the age of...yikes..65..

Nonetheless, it is time to just try it out, sneak out from behind closed doors and actually take a peek at one's public or stretch the spine of one's spineless self..kind of like an octopus...waving eight legs and arms to one's adoring public..

Yeah..right!! or maybe just splash a little black ink all over their nasty responses to what one offers to the public domain.

And so, dear friends who chose to respond to my email with this address..Thank you for stopping in.

frustration at all things cyberic

Tis Sunday in my section of Oz..east coast mid-continent Australia

And, I am trying to manifest a new template for my blog. I have also attempted to add a couple of photos of my favorite places in the world. These photos are posted. However, they simply don't seem to be accessible to anyone who visits my blog.

Not only that, my most recent post..before this one..a post I wrote yesterday..doesn't seem to want to publish either.

My computer says it is posted, but when I try to access my blog with Safari, my internet browser, I have no luck in bringing up my last post.

Needless, to repeat, but I do anyway..I am very frustrated. I love blogging and my ego is just large enough to want to be able to share my creative self with the rest of cyberia who might just happen to stop in to see whatever it is I have to share.

Sigh. Hopefully, I will be able to sort this whole mechanism out.

No worries as the Aussies say.

Happy Sunday to all..
a very fast month
Whew..it's been almost a month since last I posted in here.

On Thursday, two days ago, the dr. pried the nasty, smelly, fibre glass cast off my left hand and I am free to type once again with a modicum of typos instead of massive caps errors et al.

My 4th metacarpal on my left hand is still not healed, a phenomenon I will attribute to my old age. One would think that in seven weeks my body would see fit to heal whatever breaks I might manage to bring to it.

Not so. However, the hand specialist..now that raises some interesting eyebrows..has decided that for a month I may have full use of my phalanges. Another x-ray in a month will decide if a pin or pins or plates will be necessary to help heal the bone that operates my ring finger..left hand.

I mean how can I get married without a ring finger working?

I'll be like those serious rock climbers who wear their wedding rings around their neck on short chords. Poor fellows look like dogs or cats with bells to remind folks that hunters are on the prowl.

Oh, and no..I'm not thinking of marrying. Way too serious a thought for this schizophrenic mind anyhow.

I am just thrilled to be able to type to you, to be able to communicate with whatever part of my world might still check in to see if I have anything worth saying today.

And to each of you..even if you are a solitary one!!..thank you for your loyalty. I am deeply appreciative.

Tomorrow another thought..probably about my research topic..women travel writers..who are your favs??

for now..ciao..
